History
Globetrotter launched in December 2023. The idea arrived at the tail end of "Wrapped" season: the photo library already knows where you have been, via the EXIF geotags on every picture — so why not turn that into a private travel timeline, without check-ins, accounts, or cloud sync? That on-device, photo-driven approach set Globetrotter apart from GPS-tracking apps like Polarsteps and manual check-in apps like Been. Globetrotter joined the Pixelfolio portfolio in 2025, with v1.3 shipping as the first Pixelfolio-branded release in August 2025. v1.4 (Nov 2025) added iOS 26 Liquid Glass.

About Pixelfolio Inc.
🇨🇦 Halifax, Nova Scotia · Founded 2025
Pixelfolio is a one-person iOS studio run by Dominic Williams, who grew up in Wales and now lives in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The company builds and stewards a portfolio of well-crafted, delightful apps for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac, and Vision Pro — some acquired from their original developers and given a second life, others built from scratch.
The common thread is a design philosophy built on craftsmanship — sweating every detail of the user experience and putting the customer ahead of everything else. A small studio can care about the things larger teams have to skip, and that care is the product.
